Financing at Beacon Dental
Hi there. My name is Kyle. I'm the insurance coordinator at Beacon Dental, and I'd like to help answer some questions about financing.
If I need a dental procedure but don't have cash to cover it, are financing options available?
If you don't have the cash to finance a dental procedure, there are financing options available. There always are at Beacon Dental. Our main ones are Care Credit and Alfon, as well as Cherry.
Will I have to pay for my dental procedures up front?
It depends on the procedure and the size of the co-pay. If it is something related to hygiene or something with your hygienist, usually it's a procedure that doesn't cost too much and those will be paid entirely upfront. However, for larger procedures such as surgeries, cosmetic, restorative, anything of that nature, those can be split up into multiple payments. They can be financed through Care Credit or Cherry, or they can be split into half paid today and half on the day you receive the final restoration.
What dental financings are available from your practice and how do they work?
The financing options that we have available here at Beacon Dental are Care Credit, Alphaeon, and Cherry. Our favorite one is Cherry.
Does all dental financing require a credit check?
Yes and no. Care Credit has a slightly harder credit check than Cherry does. The reason why we prefer to use Cherry is because it has a very soft credit check that doesn't affect your credit reports.
Does dental insurance typically cover the cost of most dental procedures?
It can. It depends on the quality of the insurance plan that you have. A lot of basic plans that patients come in with will usually only cover things like cleanings and very basic procedures, whereas anything more intensive will not be covered. I
f you have a more robust dental plan, it can cover a good amount of the cost because there will be discounts due to us being in network with that insurance, as well as them covering roughly between 50% to 80% or potentially even 100% of all procedures, depending on the insurance plan, up to a given annual max, of course.
If my insurance will only partially cover the cost of my dental procedure, can financing options help me pay for that?
If an insurance plan doesn't cover 100% of your dental procedure costs, financing options are always available to cover any sort of co-insurance or non-covered procedures.
Can your practice help me find financing options so that I can get dental care that I need?
Of course. We can help find a financing option for you. We have our selections of Care Credit, Cherry, and Alphaeon. However, there are always other options available. It can be done through a card, and we can set up payment overtime options. There are many options available.
How can I get started with dental financing?
It's pretty simple. You just talk to the front desk once you have a price of how much the procedure will cost. Our financial coordinators will help you find the best solutions for you.
